Asked Questions
What to Wear
For your visit, wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as gym shorts, yoga pants, and t-shirts. Avoid tight or restrictive clothing. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended. This ensures ease during treatments and exercises. If you have long hair, consider lying it back. Avoid wearing heavy jewelry. Dressing in layers can help you adjust for comfort during your visit.
Being prepared helps ensure a smooth, effective treatment treatment session. Always feel free to ask if you have specific clothing concerns. We aim to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
New Patient Forms
Providing a correct and thorough history is the first step to receiving the appropriate level of care. Prior to being seen we will ask you to fill out several forms. This helps us to ensure quality care. Remember to bring any medical information with you to your visit. Bringing a list of your current medications can also be helpful.
Appointment Duration
The initial visit is the longest. Depending on the number of concerns you’re looking to address this may take up to 90 minutes. However, coming prepared helps to reduce the length of the visit. On average, plan for 30-60 minutes from the time you arrive in the office.
I have Medicare. What is covered?
All Medicare plans cover chiropractic manipulation of the spine ONLY (i.e. neck, mid back, low back). This means that treatment of other body parts such as shoulders, hips, and knees is not covered. Medicare stipulates that an initial exam or evaluation must be completed to determine whether spinal manipulation is appropriate. This exam is NOT covered by Medicare and is the patient’s responsibility. In addition, treatments other than joint manipulation, such as the use of heat, muscle stim or traction, are NOT covered by Medicare and must be paid for by the patient.
